Sunday, December 28, 2003Korn: Take a Look in the Mirror
Got another great CD for X-mas, Korn's Take a Look in the Mirror. Check out the lyrics to "Everything I've Known" which is probably the best track on the CD.
"Everything I've Known" Always, I see it's going down Today, Hoping in time, Will bury all this time And will awake something inside We pushed button far inside We feel our hearts and then we fight Hey, I know feels like I lost everything That I've known, I cannot survive alone It feels like I lost everything I known Our lives, were good in everywhere too late, time after time all love turned to hate but we stayed by each others side We pushed button far inside We feel our hearts and then we fight Hey, I know feels like I lost everything That I've known, I cannot survive alone It feels like I lost everything I known I keep holding on, I feel I'm where I belong Everytime time we fight, it feels so wrong I feel so enslaved fuck my bride Then we meet again We pushed button far inside We feel our hearts and then we fight Hey, I know feels like I lost everything That I've known, I cannot survive alone It feels like I lost everything I known. -posted by Nobius 6:48 PM # Comments (0) Who is Nobius?
I journaled this short piece earlier in the week, not sure what to do with it yet but rest assured you'll see it again:

Mrs. B got ol' Nobius the new Metallica album "St. Anger" for Xmas. It has gotten poor reviews all the way around. Never fucking listen to critics. James and the boys got the angry thing down good as they return to a style of yester-year from the hay day of metal. I really had thought they'd lost their balls much less their edge but this record contains no fluff. It's driving mean while sounding like something recorded in a garage! Less polished, more pissed off, way to go Metallica--it works for them! Gonna rank this with my two other favorite Metallica albums: "And Justice for All" and "Garage Days Re-revisited."
I leave you with the lyrics to "All Within My Hands" the closing track to "St. Anger": All within my hands Squeeze it in, crush it down All within my hands Hold it dear, hold it suffocate All within my hands Love to death, smack you 'round & 'round and All within my hands Beware! Love is control I'll die if I let go (x2) Hate me now Kill all within my hands Hate me now Crush all within my hands Squeeze all within my hands Choke all within my hands Hate me now Trap all within my hands Hurry up and hate me now Kill all within my hands again! All within my hands Take your fear, pump me up All within my hands Let you run, then I pull your leash All within my hands All within my hands Under thumb, under to myself All within my hands Beware! Love is control I'll die if I let go Let it go Hate me now Kill all within my hands Hate me now Crush all within my hands Squeeze all within my hands Choke all within my hands Hate me now Trap all within my hands Hurry up and hate me now Kill all within my hands again! I'll die if I let go Control is love, love is control I'll fall if I let go Control is love, love is control I will only let you breathe My air that you recieve Then we'll see if I let you love me Hate me now Kill all within my hands Hate me now Crush all within my hands Squeeze all within my hands Choke all within my hands Hate me now Trap all within my hands Hurry up and hate me now Kill all within my hands again! Kill Kill Kill Kill Kill........ Love is control, I'll die if I let go---how true, how true. -posted by Nobius 5:56 PM # Comments (0) Wednesday, December 24, 2003A Terror Christmas

All alone in the house with not a word to say.
Hear the pin drop? All alone in his head with nothing to flay. Hear the knife drop? Ear bleeding silences kill in the echo of an empty mind-- The wound to the back of the skull made him one with the writing desk. Practice makes perfect boy--you surely got a head this time! -posted by Nobius 1:13 AM # Comments (0) Saturday, December 20, 2003ANTHRAX
ANTHRAX
No, it's not a bioterror alert, it's ANTHRAX the band. And they're re-recording tracks from their early albums with their long time current singer John Bush. Great concept, vote now on what songs should appear on the album. My vote went to "Belly of the Beast" and "Got the Time". Old school metal lives, thank God. -posted by Nobius 11:51 AM # Comments (0) 100 BULLETS
100 BULLETS
Revenge, we've all wanted it. And what would you do if you could exact that revenge without getting caught? Mr. Graves will give you the gun that will not smoke and 100 bullets to do just that, get your revenge. But what of the price? And who exactly is Mr. Graves? Vertigo answers these questions and more in the "100 BULLETS" series, I just read the first trade paperback collection and can only say--I'm blown away (no pun intended)! -posted by Nobius 11:45 AM # Comments (0) Friday, December 19, 2003Heart Shaped
In the puzzle of me--the piece that was missing was heart shaped.
And what is left to love when everything has been stolen, Oh thief of my precious heart-- Eater of fire, and passion, who am I without my lover's face? -posted by Nobius 1:39 PM # Comments (0) Thursday, December 18, 2003Under the Tree
Dear Santa,
There really isn't much I want under the tree this year. Just something from my past that I can't seem to live without. I've been a really good boy, all proper and stuff. Please put my Daddy under the tree behind all the big presents so I'll be really surprised. I want to let out a little scream when I open him you know. He'll be a little hard to wrap, and a bit big to fit under the tree, but I've waited so long and I've been so good. I promise to show him to all my friends. I'll take good care of him. You can't do that?? Then please just leave all the time I've lost since he left. That'll do me just fine--to have my time back. Oh, you can't do that either I guess. It's not like you're God. Then just give me my tears in a pretty little box with a pretty little bow so I can open them and cry on Christmas day. I always cry on Christmas day. What good are presents anyway? Holidays are for children and I'm not a kid anymore. Sincerely, Me -posted by Nobius 11:44 AM # Comments (0) Intellivision Lives

The Hole in my Head
I actually found this well written BLOG while using GOOGLE to see if anyone had archived a BAD SIGNAL I am missing. Check out the exerpts below: "This vision of the personal computer appeals to me, with concupiscence even: Each component in its own box, placed anywhere within range of the wireless communication, each performing its role. The computer's soul is no longer caged within a tower, it spans the space between boxes, a personal Stephenson metaverse. The central processing unit hides in the top drawer of my desk, two stick of memory in the bottom drawer, the monitor hangs on the wall. The graphics card lives on top of my fridge, where it's cooler. I carry my hard drive wherever I go, and keep a second drive of the same size on my bookshelf, where it automatically mirrors my primary drive. When my friend brings his own drive around, the option to boot into his system is provided on screen. With no further hassle than selecting that option, he can answer email, download music, do some work, all on his own system, set up exactly the way he wants it. When I find my computer too slow, I toss the CPU box out and dump a newer one in my drawer; and I'm upgraded. Simple." And: "Dot matrix. Remember the time it would take to print a page, time enough for a nap, but the infernal noise never allowing you to do so? Remember fanfolds, holes down the side, the satisfaction of tearing your palely printed page from the grip of the machine, mixed with a fear of tearing the page itself? Carbon copies? Ink ribbons? Now dot matrix sounds more like a name for a Wachowski website, a fusing of yesterday's dot-com trend with today's hot movie trend." -posted by Nobius 10:20 AM # Comments (0) Monday, December 15, 2003Supreme Court will review lawsuit over Cheney energy meetings

I'm 3 days into my vacation and I have the flu. The kids have the flu and so does the wife. On Friday, both are cars were undrivable. In February when I took vacation, we got hit by a winter storm that crippled the Cleveland airport. We were there waiting on a flight. The trend continues to show, the black cloud really is following me.

Again the Rabbit is blue. A little tear here, a little tear there, a little tear every where. The mind's eye brings you back--an embrace of the dead. Like a ghost moving across the window, I am haunting my own past trying to remember just what it was you said dear. Splayed on the bed, my fingers touch the wet over and over-- thinking of you --a frantic passion if lost will end a world. Your sex so powerful. God, the touch feels so good. The phallus of thoughts perfect. From the open window, a cool night breeze flows curtains in, your lies the wind whisper in my ear. Promising secrets you can not keep, promising what you can never give. Nipples stand erect ready for the suckle. I moan the past while grinding an earthquake--sweet nothings make me want you all the more. Through the pain of this world, I realize I can't take it anymore. Can not take it another day. Ghosts should stay outside. I shut the window. You were always the best pillow talk. I shut my mind, leaving the past behind. Shutting you out, forever. But it's already too late, the Rabbit is blue and I remember now. You said, "I'll never leave".

This is a piece of an email I wrote, an idea is calling for fruition:
"I must say though I've outlined some ideas for the one about the mirror. I didn't get a short story out of it, I am getting the idea for a comic from it. It involves a little tangle of three--Jeckyl, Hyde, and Little Missy Jekyl (only 5 years old) In the story someone always keeps their back to the mirror, someone hates, and still another's only wish is for Daddy to play with her like he used to. Because to be Jeckyll is to be Hyde....:)" God, I should write Movie Promos....lol. -posted by Nobius 9:59 AM # Comments (0) Grant Morrison Interview
Check it out... Grant Morrison Interview.
Highlights of the interview include the following mentionables: Grant is currently working on 9 creator owned projects....that's nine! Plus a boat load of franchise comics that will appear at DC. (He just signed an exclusive contract with them.) He's working on video games, a movie script, has 2 music CD's waiting to be put out, and a book outlining his magical system. His biography is due out next year. His website will actually get an update. (Why have a site if you never put updates on it?) Grant doesn't like the 'Watchmen' (certainly he's crazy...lol) and boasts the claim that Alan Moore has spent the past 15 years trying to reinvent himself as Grant.
