Saturday, June 30, 2007Spiderman: The Scriptment
In the early nineties, the Spiderman movie was stuck in development hell as my comic loving friends may remember. Here's a scriptment of James Cameron's take on the Spiderman franchise.
It's the original Spiderman movie that was never made, complete with Mary Jane and Peter making love on a web. -posted by Nobius 12:34 PM # Comments (0) Monday, June 25, 2007Sunday, June 24, 2007Calliope Nerve XI: Adequate Brood
"All we have, all we are, are cliches." --Peter Milligan
Calliope Nerve Part XI: Adequate Brood is available now and free of charge featuring the work of Michigan's own Shawn Misener. the arrogant and uncomfortable truth of things I’m putting up the poems for good this time. I’m hanging them outside on that rusty fence made of wire hoping the poems with suffer tetanus and die. I’m wadding them up lighting them on fire or just plain deleting them to oblivion. I’m serious. I can’t get anything done with these fucking poems hanging around. But- It seems the more I hide them away the more I see your poems. Those poor little poems packaged so pretty with nothing inside except dust and spit. I just shake my head pull the old bastards out and tinker some more. Somebody has to do it if only for the love of all poetry. Somebody has to balance out the shit. --Shawn Misener Calliope Nerve is a poetry and lit zine focusing on shorter works. We also run reviews, commentary, quotations, and odd bits in a wide range of styles. All editions are free of charge. Back issues available. To order this issue send your snail mail address to nobius at gmail dot com. Submission info is located here. (We are always looking for talent.) Internet link trades, advertising, and flier swaps available. To support Calliope order your Amazon products via my web log: White Rabbit - *BLACK HOLE*. Name your muse! I'm in a class room full of people I know or have known over the years. One person I remember being there was a guy name Andy McVan who was in several of my classes all the way from kindergarten through twelfth grade. The teacher looked like (but was not) my son Jake and daughter Lacey's kindergarten teacher Mrs. Cerne. We are sharing our life stories with the class (mostly professional talk--jobs/schooling, etc) as each one of us stood up and headed to the front of the class to speak (like show and tell).
The thing that makes this dream noteworthy is that though everyone else was dressed in regular clothes, I was only wearing "tidy whitey" underwear and a white blanket covering me. When I stood up to address the class I began with, "You might think I'm embarrassed about only being dressed in my underwear and a blanket. But I'm not. I am however a bit embarrassed about this pot belly I have." The class erupted into laughter. End dream. -posted by Nobius 8:52 AM # Comments (2) Wednesday, June 20, 2007Secret Decoder Ring

Man can not live on Metal alone. It's in the Bible. God said so. But not until the day after He made Black Sabbath rule! It's another super eclectic collection of songs I'm listening too.

And overnight I sold my first book on Amazon! I figured this one would go quick because the author Sylvia Browne is so popular. Now, to figure out how to get more books like that for resale!

I've just begun this but I did finally get in gear to sell my own inventory through Amazon. Here is a current list. BTW, The Narnia Books are in nice shape.
The last time I asked this no one responded. Is anyone out there selling books, CD's, comics, collectibles, etc whether it be online, at the flea market, do you own a store? I'd like to get some ideas from you especially if you are successful. Also, if you can refer me to any resources about selling these types of things please do. One book I may get is this because I like the author but right now I'm really only looking at online and mail order type sales. Of course, if I owned the next Snowball, Toys Time Forgot, or Buckeye Bookshop I might change my mind. :) -posted by Nobius 8:56 PM # Comments (0) Sunday, June 03, 2007Saturday, June 02, 2007The Clockwork Tiger

After my last post on the potential cover to my book, how cool is it that I should find this CD cover that I've never seen before:
