I've never seen the movie. The book is f*cking brilliant. It reads like poetry on 'roids. Or punk music without the guitars. Definitely, one of the finest pieces of work I've ever laid eyes on.
The book is great, but I liked the movie even better. They did a better job hiding that Tyler is, in fact, *spoiler alert* a Giant Atomic Chicken(TM).
Seriously, even with the surprises gone, you should check out the movie. The ending is vastly different. I heard Chuck P. actually preferred the movie ending.
