Powell's City of Manga

Powell's City of Manga - 12/6/2005 - Publishers Weekly: "When you have manga that are seven inches high compared to maybe 10 inches for your average trade paperback superhero collection, you can't maximize your shelving space. By separating out the two genres, we've been able to display a manga serial as whole set, instead of putting out two or three volumes and storing the rest overhead."

We don't have any Powell's here. They are however a customer of ours at work.

We do though have Border's and Barnes and Noble "superstore" both of which I love.

Of course, just about any place that sells books I love.

I believe the only Powell's store is in Portland, Oregon. It's regarded as one of the top book stores in the US and well worth a visit if you're ever out this way. Sorry, but Border's and Barnes and Noble don't even come close to Powell's!

Their is a chain of super bookstores called Powells head quartered out of the Chicago area....

Is this the same company you're referring too?

Anyway, sounds like a neat place. If I ever make it out your way, you'll have to take me there. :)

Hmm, that's a new one on me. I have no idea if the Portland store is related to the Chicago chain. The Portland store has had quite a reputation for a long time though.
