Moving on is a simple thing. What it leaves behind is hard. --Megadeth
There is something wrong with you. There is something wrong with me. There is nothing left us. And there is nothing I can do...hey, this was my life. Hey, this was my fate. --Megadeth Up until now, been a busy week and weekend. Kalisa is at her mom's doing crafts. Jake is eating some of my famous broccoli cheese soup (this time with my home made dumplings instead of Kluski noodles), Lacey is taking a nap, Kayla is in the shower, and Marinda is watching Dexter. Thought I'd take a moment to post. Let's see. In no particular order: Yesterday, I worked 5 hours of overtime but then shut the department down once I had solved all the outstanding problems, tracked the freight, and no more incoming sales calls were happening. I had Aikido practice with Michael. Mailed out the second issue of my APA zine. Downloaded Yugi-Oh rules for Kayla. Emailed some things to Andrew Lane (CM of the APA)...we're working on an experimental collaboration (which looks like it will be a lot of fun. Andrew is so cool.). Balanced the check book. Watched Open Range and The Cat in the Hat with the kids. Both were really good. Bought dinner, rented the videos, went to the ATM, and the gas station. Also read a chapter in The Pool of Fire. While I was at work Saturday it appears a man who was "laid off" stopped by and the kids paid him to mow our lawn. Of course, he mowed about two strips of grass, "ran out of gas", and never returned. They paid him before he started because they felt bad for him. The innocence of children. News flash: I hate this town. Ripping off kids like that who were trying to help. Probably another Meth head like the one that stole my car. He best pray that I don't find him. Today, I finished mowing the lawn in the rain. Took out the garbage. Bathed the kids. Washed dishes. Made lunch. Did laundry. Played with an electronics set with the kids. Now, I'm writing this and will get back to dishes and laundry in a minute. The kids and I will watch FOX tonight since there should be some new episodes of Simpons, Malcom, and the like. And later tonight, more reading and possibly a little writing. Also did a little web surfing this afternoon, reading a bit more of Scott's archives. Over the past couple of weeks I've been reading his archives bit my bit an eventually will read them all. The section I just read is extremely intersting because it was written at the opening of the current Iraq war. Scott's a talented guy. If you haven't already. Check him out. Tomorrow is my late day at work. I don't have to be there until 15:30 and my wife gets up with the kids. So, I'm sure I'll get a good work out in before working. My other goal tomorrow is to finally get a BLOG READER downloaded. Jake is getting fussy, I better go. More later. -N- -posted by Nobius 6:46 PM #
